Words I Love: Thwack

THwak

(v.) strike forcefully with a sharp blow

or

(n.) a sharp blow

This word feels so good on my tongue when I say it. I think it’s the twinge of onomatopoeia that really gives it that crisp, satisfying feeling. I just love it.
